JV Football Cancelled

TODAY'S JV Football game against Lincoln Christian has been canceled due to low numbers for Lincoln Christian. 

HS Girls Basketball Open Gym

There will be open gym for the HS Girls Basketball on Monday and Friday starting Monday, October 22nd until October 31st.  Open gym will run from 3:30 to 4:15 in the small gym.  Please email Coach Simpson at asimpson@lincolnlutheran.org with questions.

College Rep Visits

The following colleges have admissions reps visiting during AP in the media center.  Juniors or seniors who would like to visit with these reps should get a pass from the office prior to AP.  

University of Kansas (Lawrence)-Monday, October 22; Concordia Seward-Wednesday, October 24; Wayne State-Monday, October 29; Iowa State University-Wednesday, November 14

Blue Angels Trivia Night

The Lincoln Lutheran Blue Angels are hosting a Trivia Night on Friday, Nov. 9th from 7-9:30pm at Faith Lutheran. Doors open at 6:30pm. To purchase tickets contact Paige Piper at  paige.piper16@gmail.com or one of the Blue Angels.

Fall Sampler Concert

On Tuesday, October 23rd the Lincoln Lutheran Music Department will host its annual Fall Sampler Concert and Soup Supper Fundraiser. This is a great event that features all the music ensembles at Lincoln Lutheran and raises funds through a meal served before the concert. Supper service begins at 5:00 and the Concert at 7:00 For an event like this that serves over 300 people there is a need for your volunteer service. Click "view" for more information.

District Cross Country

Jack Croner is headed to Kearney! His 13th place finish at the District 1 cross country meet on Thursday 10/11 qualifies him for the state cross country meet next week.  The Warrior boys' team ALL had either season or personal bests as they finished in 5th place in a challenging district.  The Lincoln Lutheran girls posted two personal bests and ended in 10th place.  Congratulations team to a successful year! Crete/Lincoln Lutheran softball team finishes 5th at State

The Crete/Lincoln Lutheran Cardinal softball team ended their season in Hastings at the state softball tournament with a record of 26-11. The team finished strong by winning one of the toughest districts in Class B defeating several ranked teams. The Cardinals began their state tournament run with a loss against Hastings, but fought back the next day to defeat North Platte. The team eventually was eliminated from the tournament by Beatrice.

Student Council Events

Food Drive - we are looking to defend our title from last year in this city-wide competition that helps the Lincoln Food Bank feed the hungry in the Lincoln area.  From October 17-31, please bring non-perishable food items to your AP/Access teacher's room. 

Red Ribbon Week - October 23-26  There will be a poster in the Commons that you can sign to pledge to remain drug and alcohol free, and you will receive a red ribbon for doing so. On Thursday, October 25, we will have a "Who can wear the most red?" contest.

HS VB

All 3 HS Volleyball teams had a successful night Tuesday in their matches vs DC Aquinas. The Reserves team won their match in 3 sets 25-20, 23-25, and then bounced back for the 16-14 win! The JV team won their 1st set 25-16, and then had a 2nd set come from behind win 25-22! In the Varsity match, the team won all 3 sets 25-20, 25-20, and 25-8 dominating the 3rd set.

State Golf

Congrats to the Lincoln Lutheran Girls Golf Team.  The team got 6th place overall.  Individual scores were: Grace F. 101, Logan E. 102, Natalie B. 114, Rachael V. 116 & Sophia F 139.

Cross Country Conference Results

The Warriors competed at the conference meet on Friday, Oct. 5th at Pioneers' Park.  Jack Croner was the top LL boys' varsity runner, placing 11th overall with Rachel Ziems the top female LL runner and Colton Meyer lead Lincoln Lutheran JV.  Ben Blankenbiller posted a personal best with Colton Meyer and Jack Tewes running personal season bests.  The varsity boys finished in 5th place and the boys' JV in 6th.  The Girls' team finished 8th overall.

LL Warriors Take 3rd - Conference VB

Congrats to the Warriors on their solid 3rd place finish in the Centennial Conference Tournament! The team made it to the semi-finals, but fell to #4 GICC in the 3rd set with scores of 25-19, 23-25, and 22-25. The team bounced back and took a decisive win over #2 Archbishop Bergan 25-15, 25-16.

HS Volleyball Results 10/4

The Varsity team defeated Kearney Catholic on Thursday night 25-22, 25-13 to advance to the final four of the Centennial Conference Tournament, which will continue on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Lincoln Christian. The Warriors will take on GICC at 12:30pm and then advance to either the Championship match or 3rd place match, both to be held at 3:00pm in one of their two gyms. Please come out and cheer on the Warriors in their quest to be Conference Champions!!

"Stories of Survival"

Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska is hosting "Stories of Survival: Three Generations of Surviving Genocide". This FREE public event will be at UNL's Kimball Recital Hall (1113 R Street) on Thursday, October 11th from 7:30-8:30pm. MS Football

Our MS football team won again against Centennial on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd.  The team is now 4-0. Congrats to the kids and to Coach Wieting and his coaches for a great start of their season.

Faith Lutheran Arts & Crafts Fair

Shop at Faith Lutheran Church & School Fall Arts & Crafts Fair, 8701 Adams St. on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 am to 3 pm.  Crafters from Lincoln and surrounding areas will have handmade decorating and gift items.  Stop at our concession stand for lunch & the bake sale for goodies to take home.  Admission is free - bring a friend.

HS Girls Golf Districts

The Girls Golf team placed runner-up at Districts Monday at Hidden Valley Golf Course and qualified for State!  The team shot a total score of 391 to finish 4 shots behind winner Lincoln Christian who shot 387.  The team was led by Logan Eschliman and Grace Fahleson who shot 92 and 93 respectively, to finish 3rd and 4th overall.  Sophia Fahleson shot a 102 and medaled in ninth place, and Natalie Barrett completed the team scoring with a 104.  The team will be competing next week in the State championship at the Rivers Edge Golf Course in North Platte.

Varsity VB Champions at Ashland-Greenwood

The #1 Lincoln Lutheran Warriors held off the #2 Wahoo Warriors on Saturday in the championship match of the Ashland-Greenwood tournament. The team went undefeated and did not drop a set in pool play or tournament play, going 5-0, And putting their record now at 22–1 for the season. Hope Leimbach lead in set assists, Marriah Buss and Josie Puelz in kills, Erin Williams in digs. 

Congrats ladies as you take the #1 seed in to the Centennial Conference Tournament this week! Go Warriors!!

MS VB Results - LC Tournament

This weekend the MS took two teams to the Lincoln Christian Tournament.  Both teams did a great job; it was a fun day to see them improve.  Our "B" team won the B division of the tournament, and our "A" team finished 3rd beating an outstanding Milford team in 3 sets.  Tuesday all three of our teams will head to Syracuse for play.  We are very excited about how much they all have been improving throughout the year.
