Baseball Driver's Needed

Lincoln Lutheran is looking for drivers to take the baseball players to practice.  It is Monday-Friday leaving by 3:30 and getting back by 6:30/7:00. There will be two vans going.  One for JV/V and one for reserve. Please contact (via phone or email) Mr. Joel Brase at jbrase@lincolnlutheran.org to get more information or to say which days you can help with.  

HS Baseball Parent Meeting Sunday

Any High School boys interested in playing on the Lincoln Lutheran baseball team this spring, please let your parents know that there will be a parent/player meeting is this Sunday, 2/24/19, at 6 pm in the Wahoo high school cafeteria. HS Play Auditions

2019 Lincoln Lutheran Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Avery Wieting, 7th grade, for winning the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School Spelling Bee on Monday (1/28)!  Avery will go on to represent Lincoln Lutheran at the Lancaster County Bee on February 12th.

Lincoln Lutheran Camps

Summer is just around the corner and you are probably planning for and filling up your summer schedules. Lincoln Lutheran is proud to be offering 14 Discovery Camps (Grades 3-6th), 17 Athletic day camps (Grades 3-12), Wrestling (Grades K-12), as well as our Middle School and High School Strength and Conditioning programs this summer! HS Track & Field

Sign up for HS Track & Field continues through next week. See the bulletin board outside of the main gym for the list and information sheet. There will continue to be pre-season conditioning for Track & Field next week Tuesday through Friday after school from 3:30 to 4:45. We will be doing some pre-season testings then as well. Track season officially begins on Monday, February 25th at 3:30. The parent meeting will be that night as well at 6:00 pm. Please contact Coach Sue Ziegler if you have any questions. Boys Subdistrict Basketball

Boys Subdistrict Basketball starts on Tuesday, 2/19 vs. Lincoln Christian at 7:30 pm at Weeping Water. Please remember no passes will be accepted but please plan to support our boys as they start district play. MS Band - Malcolm Music Contest

6th-8th Grade Band Parents: On Friday, March 15th Malcolm Public Schools will be holding its annual middle school band contest. Like previous years, Lincoln Lutheran bands will be participating by playing solos and small ensembles. However this year LL does not have school on March 15th. If your child can still participate on that day please let Michael Werner (mwerner@lincolnlutheran.org) know by this Wednesday to sign up. Parents will have to provide transportation to Malcolm for the contest. 

Cheer & Dance Meetings

If you are thinking of being a Cheerleader or be a part of the Blue Angel Dance team, please plan to come to the parent information meetings.  Blue Angel parent meeting will be Saturday, 3/2 at 9 am.  The Cheer parent meeting will be Tuesday, 3/5 at 6 pm. If you have questions, please give the front desk a call.

Summer Legion Baseball

The Warrior Baseball Organization in partnership with American Legion Post #3 in Lincoln, sponsors the summer legion teams associated with Lincoln Lutheran.  Warrior Baseball has a seven member board that overseen both of our summer legion programs. The board is looking for some additional members to serve in place of members finishing their terms. Student Council Blood Drive

The Student Council's annual blood drive will be held on Monday, March 4 from 9 am to 4 pm. If you donated in December, you are eligible to donate again at this drive. You may also donate if you are 16 years old, but only with a completed parental consent form.  

If you'd like to sign up for a time, email Ms. Bockelman or Tanner Lebo to get added to the schedule. It will be an A Day (as of now). You can also pick up the parent consent form from Ms. Bockelman's classroom.

HS Boys Soccer

Boys soccer will be starting on February 25th, weather permitting, we will be outside for practice. If so, we will start practice at 4:15. An indoor schedule will be made if necessary. Important note: Practice on Tuesday, February, 26th, and Thursday, February, 28th will be at 6:30 in the main gym. If you have any questions, please let me know. District Wrestling Results

Ilya Korneev went 2-2 at District Wrestling and finished just one win from advancing to the State Wrestling Tournament.  Great job Ilya! There will continue to be open mat nights on Monday and Thursday from 7:00-8:00 for any MS or HS students interested in learning more about the sport.

MS Boys"B" BB - Champions at Centennial Tourney

Middle School Boys ‘B’ Basketball make it back to back tournament championships by winning the Centennial tournament on Saturday. They defeated Wilbur- Clatonia 49-39 and then went on to defeat Sandy Creek 50-42 for the Championship. 

Team members are Jason Steider, Jang Dak, Tyler Schlueter, Alex Ohnoutka, Ollie Kollipara, Grady Schoettlin, Logan Lebo, Ryan Bokelmann, Avery Wieting, Sam Sunderman and Student Manager Quinn Trutna.  Leading scorers for the two games were Logan Lebo with 56 points and Alex Ohnoutka with 21 points. 

 

Spring Sports Start

Spring sports will start for HS on Monday, 2/25. The HS Information Night will also be on the 25th. MS Track (7th & 8th) will start on 3/7. The MS (6th-8th) track information night will be on Monday 3/4. Please remember that if your child DID NOT participate in a fall or winter sport, we may not have a physical or NSAA form on file.  Please email the front desk if you have any questions concerning this.  NO athlete will be able to participate WITHOUT these forms.

Congratulations to Lydia Grimpo

Senior Lydia Grimpo will be playing oboe in the Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band Concert on Saturday, February 8th at 2:30. She was selected out of hundreds of auditions across the state. Congratulations Lydia on your hard work and accomplishments.  

MS Boys BB - Champions @ LL Tourney

MS Boys Basketball ‘B’ team came home with the championship trophy winning Lincoln Lutheran’s tournament this past weekend. The Warriors defeated Silverhawks Supreme Friday night 53-34 and turned around Saturday morning to defeat Parkview Christian 50-20.  Leading scorers in the two games were Logan Lebo with 42 points and Alex Ohnoutka with 18 points.  Congratulations to the MS Boys ‘B’ team

Fairbury Wrestling Invite

Congratulations to Tommy Nabity on finishing 5th at the Fairbury Wrestling Invite on Saturday. Tommy finished with a record of 3-1. The Warriors Wrestling team will next be in action at Districts starting this Friday (2/8) at David City Aquinas. 

Congrats MS Boys Basketball ‘A’ Team – Roundball Champions !!

Congratulations to the MS boys ‘A’ team for winning the All-Lutheran Roundball basketball tournament this past weekend in Omaha. The Warriors downed Christ Norfolk 58-16 and host Concordia Omaha 60-16 to reach the finals.  In the championship game, the Warriors downed St John Battle Creek 57-20.  For the weekend, Will Jurgens and Jonny Puelz led the team in scoring with 29 and 27 points, respectively.  Also for the Warriors, Logan DeBoer finished 2nd in the 3-point shootout.  Congratulations Warriors on a successful weekend!
