MS Cross Country Results

Logan Lebo took fifth place in the Boys 3000 Meter Championship Race at the Nebraska State Junior High Cross Country Meet Oct. 21 at Walnut Creek in Papillion. It was a hard-fought battle to the finish line on the toughest course of the season as Lebo finished in 10:30.77, just three tenths of a second from third place. The Warriors competed hard in the 267-person race against all-class runners from around the state. Grant Stowell was 126th in 12:23.09, Quinn Trutna was 145th in 12:37.19 and Gavin Loewe was 194th in 13:02.43.

Congratulations to the student-athletes on finishing their first MS Cross Country meet of the season! The top Lincoln Lutheran runners were Millie Waldo in 2nd place – girls race, Logan Lebo in 3rd place – boys race, Aimee Blahauvietz was the 6th girl – mixed K-6th Grade race and Jonathan Dale was the 10th boy  - mixed K-6th race!

MS State XC Results

On Saturday, October 6, the first ever Nebraska Middle School State Cross Country Meet was held at Papillion-Lavista South High School.  Overall, around 400 runners from more than 30 schools participated.  Two 8th grade Lincoln Lutheran runners competed as individuals in the 3000 meter races. It was a cold and windy morning, around 40 degrees at start time, and the course had some challenging hills and terrain.

Congratulations to eighth grader Ryan Volin for winning the Nebraska State Junior High Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Oct. 6.  He finished in a time of 10:55 on the 3K course in Omaha.
