High School Cheer

The mission of Varsity Cheer is to support the Lincoln Lutheran athletic programs, boost school spirit, promote good sportsmanship, and develop positive crowd involvement, all in a manner that honors God.  Cheerleading provides opportunities for team members to develop leadership skills, form strong relationships and friendships, and build character and confidence, all while having a lot of fun.

The 2015/2016 Varsity Cheerleaders are ready for a great year, with team members:

Seniors:  Casey DeBusk, Abbie Fahleson, Madi Schmeeckle, Kate Staab

Juniors:  Julia Bloom, Kali Dubas, Amber LeGrande, Jasmine Scott, Leah Stevens

Sophomores:  Lizzie Moore, Makenna Pickering

Freshmen:  Sophia Fahleson, Katrina Staab

Coaches:  Kristin Bennett, Abbie Johnson

A year-round activity, the team cheers at Varsity Football, Basketball, and some Volleyball games, plans and leads pep rallies including the Gateway to Glory Pep Rally, decorates the school with hallway and locker signs, and participates in service projects.  They also compete in the State Cheer competition, where last year they earned third place out of the eighteen teams competing in Class C.

The Varsity Cheer team also attends camp each summer where they learn new cheers and dances, bond as a team, and make new friends from other schools from across the state.  Honored at the camp by being selected for the All American Team this year were Abbie Fahleson and Kate Staab.  Congratulations!

Help us cheer on the Warriors throughout the 2015-2016 school year – go Warriors!
