MS Track Results at Norris

The Lincoln Lutheran Middle School Track & Field Team competed at the 8 school Norris Invitational last Friday, and despite being the second smallest school, the young Warriors finished strong, and came home feeling quite proud of the accomplishments.   The Lady Warriors finished in 3rd place, only 1 point out of 2nd, and the Warrior boys tied for 5th place, but were only two points out of 3rd.  Both teams took advantage of their first meet in 18 days, and produced many personal best efforts despite the windy conditions.

On the girls' side, the highlights included a one-two finish in the 195 m Hurdles by Kacey Kohlhof and Julia Pomerenke.  The other first place finish was recorded by the 1600 m Relay team of Jadyn Agee, Kacey, Julia, and Katie Klein.  Katie also placed 2nd in the High Jump, and anchored the 8th Grade 400 m Relay team that included Makenzie Pedersen, Hannah Bassett, Hannah Alohaid to a second place finish.  Other second place finshers were Kacey Kohlhof in the 100 m Dash, and Jadyn Agee in the 800 m Run.  The 7th Grade 400 m Relay team of Kate Staab, Tessa Hincker, Jadyn, and Kacey pulled out a 3rd place finish.

On the boys' side, the Warriors brought home three second place and two third place finishes.  Derek Baden had a personal best leap of 17' 5 1/2" to place second in the Long Jump.  The Warrior relay teams also brought home two 2nd place finishes. The 400 m Relay team of Harrison Martin, B.J. Schmeling, Justin Parrish, and Derek, and the 1600 m Relay team of Derek, Spencer Schulz, Justin Parrish, and Kyle Glandt both just edged out for first place.  Derek also placed 3rd in a very close 200 m Dash race, as did Kyle Glandt in the 400 m Dash.
