Myra’s education at Lincoln Lutheran helped prepare her for life in the following ways: “Lincoln Lutheran provided a strong spiritual and academic foundation. I am thankful for teachers that cared about the students and their knowledge of the subject matter.”  Brendel recognizes that Lincoln Lutheran helped “Lay the foundation for my spiritual growth.”

When asked what some of her favorite memories from Lincoln Lutheran were, Myra shared she really enjoyed the 9th grade melodrama and her time playing basketball. Brendel has good memories of shop class with Mr. Roeber and participating in football with Mr. Breckel.

When asked what advice he would share with current Lincoln Lutheran students, Brendel replied:  “Enjoy High School, there is plenty of time to work and pay taxes.” Myra shared, “Work hard in everything you do!  Do everything with a servant heart to God’s glory.”

Brendel and Myra make their home in Grand Island, NE. They are blessed with four daughters, Jessica (LLHS ‘10) and husband Ben Kunz (LLHS ‘13), Ashlynn (LLHS ‘12), Erin and Carli.
