Jason Schwab
Jason Schwab is a 2000 graduate of Lincoln Lutheran High School. He went on to attended Miami University in Ohio earning degrees in Business and Management Information Systems. Shortly thereafter, he returned to complete his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He currently serves as an Experience Manager for Grant Thornton - a Chicago-based company.
Jason has been very involved in the community during his professional career. He has served as a Junior Achievement leader and Teammates mentor. He has also served as the Omaha point person for Grant Thornton employee support of the United Way. Jason has participated in a variety of charity runs and currently serves as a Trustee for Lutheran Educational Foundation (LEF).
One of Jason’s favorite memories from Lincoln Lutheran was soccer coach Michael Chaffee inspiring a “passion” for the game of soccer and life. He also recalls joining his classmates learning and memorizing the equation for photosynthesis in Mr. Ziem’s class. Jason also made great memories participating in student council, creation club, powerlifting, cross-country, soccer, Nebraska Boys State, and FCA.
When asked how Lincoln Lutheran prepared him for life, Jason responded “It established and reinforced a moral/religious compass which has helped me make “right” decisions post high-school.” He is also thankful for the chance to participate in many different activities (and balance it all) while taking on leadership roles. This created a strong foundation for what he does today in the work environment - balancing many moving parts, activities, resources and people that need direction. He also shared “It taught me the importance of helping others and giving back. “
Jason’s advice for current Warriors is to “Participate in all that you can. Remember God provides the answers to today’s and tomorrow’s trials and tribulations, you just need to listen.” He also wants students to know, “Lincoln Lutheran is great academically! The teachers are great and will prepare you for the next chapter. Take chances after high school because Lincoln Lutheran provides a foundation that will make you successful in whatever path you pursue.”
Jason and his wife Anna call Bennington, NE home. They are are blessed with two children, Caroline (10) and Hudson (6). In his free time Jason enjoys training and competing in running events.
