MS Track Results - April 15th

Congratulations to BOTH the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School girls and boys' Track & Field teams for taking first place honors out of 10 teams at the Friend Invitational held Monday, April 15th.  Many people contributed to the Warrior victories, and this marked the first championship for either team this year.  On the girls' side, the highlight was Julia Bloom four 1st place performances.  She won the 100 m Hurdles, 100 m Dash, 200 m Hurdles, and anchored the 400 m Relay team joined by Rebecca Ziems, Hannah Fitzsimmons, and Amber LeGrande.  Rachel Garbe also had a first place finish in the Long Jump.  Other scoring points for the Lady Warriors included:

2nd Place:  Rebecca Ziems- Triple Jump, 400 m Dash, Amber LeGrande- 200 m Dash
3rd Place:  Hayley Steinbauer- 1200 m Run, 800 m Run, Mackenzie Koepke Tied 3rd)- High Jump, Carley Knapp (Tied 3rd)- High Jump, 1600 m Relay team of Rachel Garbe, Amber LeGrande, Hannah Fitzsimmons, and Rebecca Ziems.
4th Place: Hannah Fitzsimmons- 400 m Dash
5th Place: Eva Allyn- 100 m Hurdles, Rachel Garbe- 200 m Hurdles, Haleigh Hoefs- 1200 m Run
6th Place: Erin Maier- Long Jump

In the boys' division, Ryan Volin almost matched Julia's efforts, as he claimed three 1st place finishes in the High Jump, 1200 m Run, and 800 m Run.  In the 1600 m Relay, Ryan moved up from 3rd place, and almost tracked down the winning Sutton team, as the Warriors settled for 2nd.  Joining Ryan in that relay were Logan Kreizel, Isaac Zager, and Tath Dak. Other scoring for the Warriors included:
2nd Place:  Logan Kreizel- High Jump, 1200 m Run;
3rd Place:  Reid Martin- Triple Jump, 110 m Hurdles, 200 m Hurdles; Logan Kreizel- 800 m Run, Tath Dak- 400 m Dash
Tied 5th Place:  Logan Lane- 400 m Dash
6th Place:  400 m Relay team of Reid Martin, Tyler Wendt, Logan Lane, Isaac Zager.

The team's next meet is at the Johnson County Invitational, on Thursday, April 18th.
