MS Track Results - April 30th

Congratulations to the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School Track & Field team for their fine performances at the small, but competitive Raymond Central Invitational, held Tuesday, April 30th.  The Lady Warriors took first place honors for the third year in a row at this meet, and the Lutheran boys finished a strong third.

The Lutheran girls used their depth with four first place finishes, as well as several events with multiple scorers to pull away from runner up Raymond Central.  Julia Bloom took 1st place honors in both the 100 m and 200 m Hurdle races.  Rebecca Ziems placed 1st in the 200 m Dash, and anchored the 1600 m Relay team of Hannah Fitzsimmons, Amber LeGrande, and Rachel Garbe to a first place finish.  Other girls scoring for Lincoln Lutheran included:

2nd Place:  Amber LeGrande- High Jump, Rachel Garbe- Long Jump & 200 m Hurdles, Julia Bloom- 100 m Dash, Hayley Steinbauer- 1600 m Run,  400 m Relay team of Ziems, Fitzsimmons, LeGrande, and Bloom.
3rd Place-Rebecca Ziems- Triple Jump, Mackenzie Koepke- High Jump, Eva Allyn- 100 m Hurdles, Hannah Fitzsimmons- 400 m Dash, Hayley Steinbauer- 800 m Run
4th Place- Erin Maier- Long Jump, Amber LeGrande- 100 m Dash, Mackenzie Koepke- 200 m Hurdles, 3200 m Relay team of Carley Knapp, Valerie Griess, Cassie Shambaugh-Miller, and Ella Wallace
5th Place- Hayley Steinbauer- High Jump

In the boys' division, Ryan Volin once again led the Warriors with two individual 1st place finishes, as well as anchoring a winning relay team.  Ryan won one of his specialty races, the 800 m Run, as well as running the 400 Dash time, and winning that race as well.  Ryan also anchored the winning 3200 m Relay team, run by Logan Kreizel, Tath Dak, and Chase DeBusk.  Logan Kreizel also took first place in the 1600 m Run.  The Warrior 1600 m Relay team of Logan Kreizel, Isaac Zager, Tath Dak, and Volin just missed another 1st place finish, though they ran a season best time of 4:15.4    Others scoring for the Warriors included:

3rd Place:  Reid Martin- 110 m Hurdles & 200 m Hurdles, Tath Dak- 800 m Run, 400 m Relay team of Reid Martin, Tyler Wendt, Logan Lane, and Isaac Zager.
4th Place:  Reid Martin- Triple Jump

The team's next meet will be Saturday, May 4th, at the Trinity (Fremont) Invitational.
