Food Bank Food Drive - Now till Oct. 26

Thursday (10/12) began our annual food drive contest, led by the Student Council and the National Honor Society. For the next two weeks, please bring any non-perishable food items you’d like to donate to your Access/AP teacher’s room. This drive is a contest between area schools each October to increase the food supply at the Lincoln Food Bank, especially as winter and the holidays approach. Many families in our area struggle to keep food on the table, especially at this time of the year. click view for more

There will also be two contests here at LL. One is for the Access/AP class that collects the most pounds of food per student. The other is for the class that creates the most creative sculpture with the food that is collected. Our contest will end on Thursday, October 26. On that day, you will create your sculpture in your Access/AP class, take a picture of it and email it to Miss Bockelman, and deliver your food to the small gym to be weighed. The winning classes will receive a food prize AND get to select the menu items for a hot lunch we will all enjoy in December!

Thank you for participating - and above all else, sharing the love of Christ with those in need in our community.
