First Annual Fund Drive off to a Great Start!

Where is your treasure? “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will be also.” Matthew 6:21.

You may have seen this phrase in newsletters or your church bulletin lately. Maybe you received a brochure in the mail and wondered “What is an Annual Fund drive and why does Lincoln Lutheran need one?”

“An annual fund initiative provides the cornerstone for the majority of non-profit organizations, including parochial school ministries,” shared Scott Ernstmeyer - Lincoln Lutheran’s Executive Director. “Our goal is to keep tuition increases to a minimum while providing an outstanding education to our students. Growing our annual support for the school in this fashion allows us reach out to more young people in the community!”

Where is your Treasure is our first ever Annual Fund Drive. The money raised by this drive helps to bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of education including technology, professional development, and instruction. Our goal for this year is $100,000. As of March, 2009 we have received pledges and donations totaling 70% of our goal.

Every contribution to the Annual Fund Drive is important, regardless of size, because it demonstrates an understanding of our mission and the need for additional funding to support that mission while keeping tuition reasonable.

We turn individual gifts of all sizes into a collective pool of financial support for Lincoln Lutheran. Parents, grandparents, alumni, association church members and friends of Lincoln Lutheran all work together to make an outstanding impact.

How can you make a difference? Here are a few ways:

  • A one time gift to Lincoln Lutheran by check or credit card
  • Making and fulfilling a pledge by the end of June 30th 2009
  • Donating online by clicking here
  • Considering an Estate Gift or a Deferred Gift

The students at Lincoln Lutheran appreciate the support of the many people who work together to keep our school operating. Alex Steffens, current senior said, "[Their] generosity is meaningful to me, because it gives us the opportunity to have great education in a Lutheran setting."
