Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets twice a month on Tuesday morning. All 9 - 12th graders that are involved with athletics or are interested in sports are invited to join in on devotions, fellowship and a light breakfast at 7:30 am. in room 00. The group has been frequented by Lincoln Lutheran alumni, as well as other local collegiate athletes or coaches, that have been invited to lead the group in devotions.

The kickoff devotion/breakfast is held at the beginning of the school year. During Homecoming week the FCA hosts the powder-puff football for the senior and junior girls, as well as a volleyball game for the senior and junior boys. These events are followed by a hot dog feed, where the food and refreshments are served by the FCA'ers. They host a 5th quarter party after one of the basketball games. The group also conducts one of the school chapels during the year. In the spring, a good number of the members attend the annual FCA banquet - held at the University of Nebraska.

The group helps support one organization each year as a servant event. The past 2 years FCA is helping out Pennies for Patients, to try to make a difference in the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma.

FCA is blessed to be able to offer scholarship money for 2 seniors that have been active in the organizations events throughout high school. This past years recipients were Lauren Hohbein and Karlee Nuttleman. The FCA adult Huddle leader is teacher/coach Sue Ziegler.
