MS Student Council

The student council has worked diligently over the past few years to not only serve the student body but also the community. Last year, students planned spirit assemblies to honor athletic, musical, and academic accomplishments of the middle school students. They planned fellowship and team-building activities for access groups and are working this year with middle school teachers to develop the middle school Olympics. Students have provided feedback to middle school teachers, help set up for fun nights, and encouraged student involvement in high school student council events.

Some of their responsibilities include:

  • Attending weekly meetings (during Friday club time)
  • Representing the ideas of fellow classmates to the council
  • Serving in the capacity as needed on the council
  • Working on committees as assigned
  • Planning events and communicating information to classmates
  • Finding ways to improve the school environment as defined by the mission statement
  • Acting in ways that show your Christianity
  • Showing God’s love in action as an example for others to see

Student council has organized service projects that reach beyond the Lincoln Lutheran Family as well. They have contributed to Valentine's for Vets, organized a food-can-drive for People City Mission, and made May Baskets for local nursing homes.
