Instumental Music

Our primary goal is to teach students self-directed learning and to transmit musicianship and personal skills that go beyond the classroom setting. We believe that teaching style, curriculum and approach must be flexible, varied and individualized. We encourage exploration and creativity in all areas of music. The utmost goal is for students to leave Lincoln Lutheran High School with a higher knowledge and understanding of what music can bring to their lives, how it can represent God, and how it can glorify God. Music is written in black and white, but music only happens when we use our hearts and minds.

Psalm 89:1

I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

Philippians 2: 1-4

1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
