The One Million Pillowcase Challenge

The One Million Pillowcase Challenge is a challenge in the United States to supply comfort to foster children, cancer patients, and victims of domestic violence. The first semester Sewing class decided help out with this cool challenge and donate 19 wonderfully made pillowcases. To this date, over 234,000 pillowcases have been donated to this challenge. Mrs. Carlson taught the students a new technique for making pillowcases that is fast, easy, and fun!

Mrs. Susan Carlson

Mrs. Carlson joined the Lincoln Lutheran teaching staff in 1995, the year the high school began. She has enjoyed watching the school grow and change into its current status. Mrs. Carlson earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She worked at UNL for six years before becoming Lincoln Lutheran's Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.  Mrs. Carlson teaches a wide variety of classes, including Foods, Sewing and Home Decor, and Middle School FCS.
