MS Boys National Tournament

The MS 8th grade boys basketball team participated in the National Lutheran Basketball Tournament held in Valparaiso, Indiana, March 29-31. The Boys Tournament consisted of 32 qualifying teams representing 15 states from as far away as Florida, Nevada, California, Maryland, Kansas, and Texas.

MS National Lutheran BB Tourney

For the third time in school history, the Lady Warriors Middle School Basketball Team participated in the Lutheran School National Tournament in Valparaiso, Indiana on March 28-31. The Warriors relied on strong defense forcing an average of 26 turnovers per game to finish the tournament with a 3-2 record capturing 11th place out of a field of 32 teams from across the United States.

Basketball All-Conference Named

The 2019 Basketball All-Conference Awards were announced yesterday. Congratulations to Gretchen Moll, Luke Volin and Josh Puelz on being honored as All-Conference. Gretchen and Luke received Honorable Mentions in the All-Tournament Team. Congrats also to Isaac McCoy, Grant Donovan, Elayne Poppe and Shanae Bergt on receiving Honorable Mention nods. Thank you for your leadership and excellence all season long! 

MS Basketball Nationals Results

This past weekend both the LL Boys and Girls A teams competed in Indiana at the National Lutheran Basketball Tournament. Both teams made great showings over the weekend to close out their season. The Boys team won the Consolation Bracket to bring home the trophy. They finished the weekend with a 5-1 record. The girls also played hard and finished the weekend in 11th place with a 3-2 record. Congratulations to both teams of a great seasons!!

C-Club Tournament Results

Congratulations to all the LL MS Basketball teams at the C-Club Basketball Tournament this weekend! All the LL teams ended up bringing home hardware! The final results were:

Boys D - Consolation Champions

The Boys and Girls A teams will head to Nationals on Thursday this week! Look for an announcement later this week with all the details on how you can watch the teams and follow their games online!

Lutheran National Basketball Tournament

Congrats to both our Middle School girls and boys basketball teams as they qualified for the Lutheran National Basketball Tournament on March 28th-31st at Valparaiso University in Indiana.  Brackets will come out the week prior to the tournament.

MS Boys"B" BB - Champions at Centennial Tourney

Middle School Boys ‘B’ Basketball make it back to back tournament championships by winning the Centennial tournament on Saturday. They defeated Wilbur- Clatonia 49-39 and then went on to defeat Sandy Creek 50-42 for the Championship. 

Team members are Jason Steider, Jang Dak, Tyler Schlueter, Alex Ohnoutka, Ollie Kollipara, Grady Schoettlin, Logan Lebo, Ryan Bokelmann, Avery Wieting, Sam Sunderman and Student Manager Quinn Trutna.  Leading scorers for the two games were Logan Lebo with 56 points and Alex Ohnoutka with 21 points. 

 

MS Boys BB - Champions @ LL Tourney

MS Boys Basketball ‘B’ team came home with the championship trophy winning Lincoln Lutheran’s tournament this past weekend. The Warriors defeated Silverhawks Supreme Friday night 53-34 and turned around Saturday morning to defeat Parkview Christian 50-20.  Leading scorers in the two games were Logan Lebo with 42 points and Alex Ohnoutka with 18 points.  Congratulations to the MS Boys ‘B’ team

Congrats MS Boys Basketball ‘A’ Team – Roundball Champions !!

Congratulations to the MS boys ‘A’ team for winning the All-Lutheran Roundball basketball tournament this past weekend in Omaha. The Warriors downed Christ Norfolk 58-16 and host Concordia Omaha 60-16 to reach the finals.  In the championship game, the Warriors downed St John Battle Creek 57-20.  For the weekend, Will Jurgens and Jonny Puelz led the team in scoring with 29 and 27 points, respectively.  Also for the Warriors, Logan DeBoer finished 2nd in the 3-point shootout.  Congratulations Warriors on a successful weekend!
