Lincoln Lutheran welcomes Joel Janecek!

Lincoln Lutheran is excited to announce Joel Janecek as our new Head Coach for High School Track & Field. He comes to Lincoln Lutheran from Dubuque, IA where he served as a track coach for Wahlert Catholic High School and coached several state champions and state medal winners as well as the girls' team routinely finishing in the top three at the Iowa State Track & Field Meet.

Lincoln Lutheran Girls Track Team State Champions!

Congratulations to the Girls Track Team on being the 2019 Nebraska Girls State Class C Track & Field Champions! It was a great meet for all 17 of our competitors. Taking home Gold medals were Josie Puelz - 100m & 300m hurdles, pole vault (New State record, All Class Gold medalist and 3 new LL school records); Girls 400m relay - Hope Leimbach, Charis Ovwigho, Kelly Kohlhof & Josie Puelz (new school record); Boys 1600m relay - Loah L'Heureux, Gage Canfield, Trevor LeGrande & Jacob Meyer.

HS Track District Results

Girls are District Champions & Boys District Runner-up!

Congratulations to both track teams on outstanding performances at the district track meet on Thursday at Tri County. The girls team has qualified in 10 different events with nine girls going on to State. The team scored 170 points, one of the best in school history, along with 9 first place finishes! On the boys side, they have qualified 8 boys in 7 events. Each team had numerous medals at the meet and many athletes finished with their personal best marks for the season. Way to go WARRIORS!

Conference Track Results

The Lincoln Lutheran Warriors competed in the Centennial conference track meet on a frigid Saturday in Columbus. The Warriors had 5 conference champions for the day. Josie Puelz was a three-time champion, starting out the day winning the pole vault at 11’0, then the 100 m hurdles in 15.09 (her fastest time of the season). Puelz has won the 100m hurdles in Conference for the 3rd year in a row. She also won the 300 m hurdles in 46.74. On the boys side Colton Meyer won the 110 high hurdles in 15.18 and the 300m hurdles in 39.55.

HS Track Results

The HS Track team posted some nice results at the Cougar Invitational at Conestoga. The girls team took Runner-up honors for the day. Josie Puelz won both the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles, as well as the pole vault. Colton Meyer won both the 110H hurdles and the 300 hurdles, as well as Noah L’Heureux winning the 400m and Jacob Meyer the 800m run. The boys 1600m relay finished in 1st place as well. Relay members include Noah L’Heureux, Trevor LeGrande, Colton Meyer, and Jacob Meyer. There were many medalists and personal bests for the day.

HS Track Results

The girls won the Tri County Invitational Track meet on Tuesday with 120.33 points and the boys took 2nd place as a team with 84 points!

Wilber-Clatonia MS Track Invite Results

Congratulations to both the MS Boys and Girls teams on winning the Wilber-Clatonia MS Track Invite on Tuesday. There were several individual event medals won including several top three place wins!

HS Track Results

Both teams had some awesome results at the Yutan Invitational on Tuesday. They were in the top 3 team finishes at the 11 team Invitational meet. The girls were Runner-up, scoring 123 points and the boys team scored 117 points and were only 3 points away from winning the meet! So, congrats on a great day to all participants as it is nice to watch everyone compete and give it their all! The girls team ended up having 5 first place finishes and 13 other medal placings. The boys team had 4 place finishes and also 13 other medal placings. Way to go Warriors - great team efforts!! 

Track Champions

Dual Champions! Congratulations to the girls and boys track teams on both winning the Thunderbird Invitational on Monday at Tecumseh. The girls finished in first place with a solid 110 points, and the boys with a strong showing of 80 points at the meet. There were two meet records broken yesterday, with Josie going 11'0" in the pole vault and Colten Meyer running 14.95 in the 110 hurdles (prelim time). The girls also had gold medals from Hope Leimbach in the long jump at 16'8 1/4", Josie in both hurdles with 15.8 in the 100m hurdles and 47.81 in the 300m hurdles.

Norris Invitational Results

On Wednesday, the Varsity Track team competed very well at the Norris Invitational. The Warriors went up against some very tough competition, and windy conditions, but came out with 9 first place finishes. Really, it was a great effort by the whole team!
