HS Volleyball Honors

The 2018-2019 Lincoln Lutheran Volleyball Team has been awarded the Academic All-State Team.  The award is in recognition of outstanding academic performance and presented by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Marriah Buss Gatorade Player of the Year

The Gatorade Company, today announced Marriah Buss of Lincoln Lutheran High School as its 2018-19 Gatorade Nebraska Volleyball Player of the Year. Buss is the first Gatorade Nebraska Volleyball Player of the Year to be chosen from Lincoln Lutheran High School. The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Buss as Nebraska’s best high school volleyball player.

Omaha World Herald VB Awards

Congratulations to the following LL Volleyball players on the following awards issued by the Omaha World Herald.  Marriah Buss was named to the Omaha World Herald 1st team Super-State and 1st team All-State C-1. Marriah was also named as the Prep Dig Player of the Year for Nebraska. Erin Williams was named All-State C-1 1st team and Hope Leimbach was 2nd team All-State C-1.  Lexie Kreizel and and Josie Puelz were named to honorable mention.

Hope Leimbach signs with Midland University

Congratulations to Hope Leimbach! She signed to play volleyball for the Warriors at Midland University in Fremont, NE. The signing ceremony took place at Lincoln Lutheran on Monday, December 17th, 2018. Hope was joined by family and friends and Coach Ziegler who have been a great support system throughout the years. We want to wish Hope God's richest blessings on her college career at Midland!

Erin Williams Signs with UNO

Congratulations to Erin Williams! On Wednesday, November 14, Erin signed to play volleyball with the Mavericks at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. The signing took place at Lincoln Lutheran. Erin was joined by her parents, coaches, and friends who have supported her throughout the years. We wish Erin God's Richest Blessings in all her endeavors at UNO next year!

Warriors VB Finish State Runner-Up

Congratulations and a big shout out to the varsity volleyball team as they made it to the championship match of the 2018 Nebraska State volleyball tournament. The team made it an exciting match, as they came out strong and took down #1 seed Wahoo  25-18 in set 1. But then the opponents came back and took sets 2 and 3, 25-20, 25-14. Our  Lincoln Lutheran Warriors did not quit, as they pushed their way back and took down Wahoo in set 4, 25-21.  In the fifth set, LL was down 3-0, yet pushed back and had the score at 7-6.

State VB Results

The Warriors played some solid volleyball last night and took down Columbus Scotus in 3 straight sets, 25-21, 25-11, and 25-17. The team played solid defense and put up 70 digs , 7 ace serves, and had 47 kills! Hope Leimbach put up 38 set assists, Marriah Buss 27 kills and Josie Puelz added 7. Erin Williams delivered 20 digs, and Megan Garbe had 4 ace serves. Great team effort ladies! Blessings today as you take on the St. Paul Wildcats at 1:00 at Pinnacle Bank Arena!

Warriors Volleyball District Champions!

Congratulations to the LL Warriors Volleyball team. On Saturday at Raymond Central HS, the Warriors swept Ashland-Greenwood in three sets to be named the C1-1 District Champions. With the District Championship, the Warriors are headed to State with a #2 Seed. They will face off against Columbus Scotus on Thursday, Nov. 8th at 3:30 pm at North Star High School. In order to allow faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to cheer on our Warriors, classes on the 8th will finish at 2:30 pm.
