R/JV Volleyball Triangular Monday

We wanted to make certain everyone knew the planned schedule for the Reserves & JV VB triangular planned for next Monday, Oct. 23. Norris had to drop out of the Reserves part. There will be only one Reserves game played at 5 pm in the Small Gym. Here is the planned schedule for Monday: 

Small Gym:  5 pm - LL Reserves vs. Beatrice Reserves

Main Gym:  5 pm - LL JV vs. Beatrice JV;  6 pm - Beatrice JV vs. Norris JV;  7 pm - LL JV vs. Norris JV

VB Results from Oct. 17th

Lincoln Lutheran played in a triangular at Columbus Scotus Tuesday evening with all 3 teams competing. The Reserves team only played Columbus Scotus and put up a good effort, but lost in 3 sets. The JV team lost 2-0 to Columbus Scotus but came back in a 3 set win over Hastings St. Cecilia.  Lincoln Lutheran played Scotus even points wise, but dropped the match 2-1  at the Columbus gym. Lutheran lost their lead in the 1st set and then dropped the set 25-23, won set 2 by a score of 25-20, but then lost the 3rd set 25-22.

HS VB defeated DC Aquinas

All 3 volleyball teams were successful last night by defeating D.C. Aquinas. The Reserves team won in 2 sets and the JV won in an exciting match that went 3 sets! The Varsity defeated the Monarchs 3-1 by scores of 24-26,  25-8, 25-19,  25-14, so after a bit of a rough start the Warriors took charge to finish out the match. Hope Leimbach put up 50 set assists (season high) and 11 digs, Erin Williams also contributed 18 digs.

HS Volleyball Results

The Varsity team had two great performances in their matches at the Conference Tournament on Saturday. They defeated both teams in 2 sets. They took down #1 seed Archbishop Bergan 25-18, 25-19, and then went on to defeat the #5 seed Bishop Neumann 25-13, 27-25. Great work Warriors!!

VB Results from Oct. 5th

Defending Class C-1 state champion Omaha Concordia knocked off No. 4 Lincoln Lutheran in the quarterfinals of the Centennial Conference Tournament, 25-18, 25-23 on Thursday at Lincoln Lutheran. Marriah Buss had 16 kills for Lutheran, Hope Leimbach had 21 set assists and Erin Williams managed 18 digs. The Warriors play at David City Aquinas on Saturday, Oct. 6th at 10:am and 11:15am.

HS Volleyball Results 10/3

All 3 teams were in action Tuesday evening at Wahoo. The Reserves easily won their match in 2 sets and the JV lost in 2, but had a great effort in the 2nd set losing 25-23. The Varsity had a good showing but had about that same result, losing the first set and then bouncing back in sets 2 and 3 but losing to C1 #3 Wahoo by scores of 26-24 and 27-25. The Centennial Conference tournament gets underway tomorrow with #3 seed LL hosting #6 seed Omaha Concordia. Game time is at 6:00 at Lincoln Lutheran.

HS Volleyball Results

The Warriors went 4-1 in the tournament and made it to the Championship, after defeating Auburn 2-0, and Omaha Gross 2-0, before taking on C-1 #3 Wahoo. Both teams came in to the tournament with just 1 loss on the season, but the Warriors of Wahoo took charge and won 2-0. Our LL Warriors have the opportunity to face them again Tuesday evening in a match up at Wahoo at 7:00pm. The Reserves will play at 5:00pm and the JV at 6:00pm.

LL opens tourney with 2 big wins

Our Class C-1 #2 Varsity VB team opened the Ashland-Greenwood tournament with 2 big wins against Plattsmouth and Class B No. 5 Ralston on Sept. 28th. Plattsmouth Highlights were Buss with 15 kills, Hope with 24 assists, Erin with 10 digs & Hayley with 2 aces. Ralston Highlights were Buss with 25 kills & 2 Blocks, Hope with 32 assists & 3 aces and Erin with 23 digs. Erin Williams had 33 digs, helping her reach 1,000 career digs.

VB Results from Sept. 21

Congratulations to all 3 HS teams on their clean sweep in the dual with Crete Thursday evening. Thanks for the fan support on Camo theme night! Leading the Varsity in kills were Marriah Buss with 12 and Kayla Ernstmeyer with 8. Hope Leimbach added 28 set assists and 10 digs. The Warrios had 7 blocks and 6 ace serves for the evening. Their record is now 13-1 for the season. "Keep on Truckin"!

Tuesday, Sept. 19th Volleyball Results

The HS team went 1-1 last night against 2 ranked opponents. The Warriors had their first loss of the season to GICC, falling 25-22, 25-22 They responded well though, and bounced back for a decisive victory over Concordia Omaha 25-17, 25-15. The JV team lost both matches, but had an exciting 3rd set with Concordia Omaha before losing 19-17. All 3 teams are in action Thursday night, for a home match with Crete!
