Penny

There’s a new, four-legged member of the Warrior family, and her name is Penny. A 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Penny will be a constant, comforting presence in the Student Success Center, bringing with her an abundance of joy, warmth, and healing to students, faculty, and staff alike. Golden Retrievers like Penny are known for their compassionate nature, and Penny embodies these traits fully. Her friendly eyes and wagging tail will welcome students into the Student Success Center with open paws, inviting them to take a moment to breathe, relax, and enjoy her company.

As part of an exciting new initiative, Penny has joined the campus as a full-time therapy dog to support students in navigating the ups and downs of middle and high school life. She will be available to everyone in the Warrior community, offering emotional support, comfort, and a calming presence during stressful moments. Whether you're facing the pressures of homework, dealing with personal challenges, or simply need a little emotional boost, Penny is here to help.

The Student Success Center has been a place for students to find guidance, support, and resources during their time on campus. With Penny's arrival, this space will only become more special, offering an added layer of comfort and emotional care. Whether students stop by to share a moment of joy with Penny or simply sit beside her for some quiet reflection, her presence will be a reminder of the importance of mental health and self-care during these important years.

Penny’s role on campus will go far beyond being a "good girl" in the hallways. As part of the Warrior community, she will play an important role in fostering a supportive and caring environment. For students who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or isolated, Penny will be there with an open heart, offering unconditional love and a moment of relief.

Penny's arrival marks the beginning of something truly special. With her gentle spirit and love for making connections, Penny will quickly become an important part of the Warrior family. As she walks the halls of Lincoln Lutheran, Penny will leave behind a trail of smiles, calm hearts, and an ever-growing sense of community. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Penny into our hearts and share the healing power of a dog’s love with all of you. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate this beautiful addition to our campus and make sure to stop by to say hello.
