Lincoln Lutheran recently hosted a heartwarming food drive that united students for a good cause. The Access and Focus classes engaged in a friendly competition to see who could collect the most canned goods and create the coolest sculpture out of the donations. However, it wasn't just about competition—there was an overarching goal for the entire student body.
The students collectively aimed to gather 2,500 pounds of food, which would earn them a half day off from school. If they surpassed 3,500 pounds, the entire student body would be rewarded with a full day off! The winning class, based on their creative can sculpture, also earned the privilege of choosing a hot lunch menu for the school.
At the end of the drive, the students collected over 3500 pounds of food, which was donated to the Lincoln Food Bank to support families in need. The competition not only brought out the students’ creativity but also demonstrated the power of teamwork and community spirit. The food drive was a huge success, leaving a lasting impact on both the students and the local community.
